On behalf of the British Government, I send my congratulations to Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli on his election as Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. The United Kingdom and Nepal share 200 years of friendship and we will remain a steadfast partner for Nepal as it continues to rebuild following the devastating earthquake on 25 April. I look forward to working with Mr Oli and the new government.
