Highlights
- Total landings by UK vessels decreased by 12% in December 2024 compared to 2023. The value of landings in December 2024 (43 million) also decreased, down by 18% compared to 2023.
- Landings in December 2024 comprised mostly of Demersal species (40%) however, Shellfish species comprised the largest proportion of value landed. This is because Shellfish species typically fetch a high price.
