Form: Declare seat belt anchorages meet safety standards when getting vehicles approved

Use this form to declare that seat belt anchorages in passenger carrying vehicles meet safety standards. You have to do this when you get them approved under the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) scheme.

If a vehicle has extra seat belts fitted beyond those required by law, it must be tested if its either a:

  • private passenger vehicle with more than 8 passenger seats, and was first used from 1 October 2001
  • a public service vehicle (PSV)
