IT guidance is being provided to help overcome issues experienced by a number of NHS researchers in accessing National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) information systems that are designed to support healthcare research.
Peter Knight, Deputy Director and Head of Research Information and Intelligence, has written to Chief Executives of NHS Trusts and University Chancellors to explain that NHS and academic organisations are expected to review their local IT, internet access policies and/or firewall settings to ensure that all researchers are able to access the NIHR systems.
