Analysis and examination of foods: a residential course
Places are available for the week-long residential postgraduate course on the work of the public analyst. Book by 31 March 2015.

Topics include food fraud, the new food labelling requirements, the Defra Food Authenticity programme, food allergen analysis, advanced DNA testing, microscopy and mycology, food law, certificate and report writing, and sessions on fertilisers and feeding stuffs.

Fees

£1200 + VAT for the week including bed and breakfast accommodation, evening meals, notes and hand-outs.

£300 + VAT for a day attendance which includes the evening session and evening meal.

Fees payable to the Association of Public Analysts Educational Trust. We are grateful to the Food Standards Agency and Defra for support for the attendance of staff from Official Control Laboratories (Public Analysts).

Who should attend

The course will be of interest to food regulatory managers and scientists, food and feed laboratory staff and those studying for the Mastership in Chemical Analysis, MChemA, the statutory qualification required to practice as a Public Analyst.
