Updated import note BTC/2. Birds imported from EU trading partners, Greenland, and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries into GB, do not currently need to be accompanied by an import licence.
Updated the import information note PBTC/2. Pet birds imported from EU trading partners, Greenland and EFTA countries into GB do not currently need to be accompanied by an import licence. Pet birds from EU trading partners may enter GB via any point of entry.
Amendments to three documents to clarify the requirements after feedback from users. Documents amended: Import of captive birds - Import Information Note (IIN) CBTC/2, Import of pet birds - Import Information Note (IIN) PBTC/2 and Import of birds and hatching eggs to approved premises under the Balai regime - Import Information Note (IIN) BTC/2.
