Check if youre in a zone on the bird flu disease zone map. If youre in a disease control zone or AIPZ you must follow the rules.

If you keep poultry or other captive birds in an AIPZ, use this self-assessment checklist to make sure youre meeting the minimum biosecurity standards to protect them against bird flu.

  1. An AIPZ with mandatory housing measures is now in force in the East of England. The AIPZ biosecurity checklist has been updated to reflect this.

  2. If you keep poultry or other captive birds in an avian influenza prevention zone (AIPZ), your premises must now be registered on the kept bird register. The AIPZ biosecurity checklists have been updated to reflect this.

  3. Uploaded new checklists as mandatory housing measures in England and Wales have been lifted. Housing measures are still in place in some bird flu control zones.
