The government announced the Childrens Social Care National Implementation Board as part of its initial response to the recommendations from:

the independent Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panels review into the murders of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes and Star Hobson
-
the Competition and Markets Authoritys report into the childrens social care market
The boards role is to advise ministers on the implementation of reform across childrens social care.
Membership
The board is chaired by a DfE minister.
The board members will include those with:
- experience of leading transformational change in the childrens social care sector
- lived experience of the care system
Terms of reference and minutes
The boards terms of reference and the first set of minutes will be published in due course.
