Delayed BTEC and Cambridge Technicals results

As we approach the weekend we realise some of you might worry about whats happening. Students have shown so much resilience in preparing for and taking their qualifications during the pandemic, and we have every sympathy with any student who expected but has yet to receive a result.

Our focus, and that of the awarding organisations, is on ensuring that students get their results so they can progress. We encourage schools and colleges to work with the awarding organisations to help this to happen. We expect Pearson and OCR to take all necessary steps to resolve these issues as soon as possible. We understand from UCAS that offers will be held open to Wednesday 7 September, though we expect any outstanding results to be returned well before then.

In any year, there is always a small proportion of students who dont receive their results on results day because there are unresolved issues, which can be for a range of reasons, including at centre level. This year awards for some qualifications are more complex due to the arrangements awarding organisations put in place to mitigate the effects of the pandemic, for example requiring elements undertaken as far back as 2020 to be carried forward.

For updates and help with BTEC, contact Pearson on 0345 618 0440 or via @PearsonBTEC on social media.
