This guidance on the role of National Leaders of Governance (NLGs) in supporting college improvement includes information about:

  • how the NLGs for further education programme will operate
  • who can apply

Applications can be made by:

  • serving governors
  • governance professionals
  • clerks at further education (FE) colleges

Apply to become a NLG by sending your completed application form to FE.Commissioner@education.gov.uk.

The deadline for applications is 30 January 2023.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an assessment centre at our offices in London.
