CNC continues to inspire Lakes College students

Four students took part in the work experience and, while at the CNCs Griffin Park Tactical Training Facility, which has the biggest 360-degree live fire range in Europe, they had the opportunity to observe a variety of training courses including first aid and initial firearms.

The students all enjoyed the work experience and made the most of the opportunity to engage with the staff and officers and ask questions about the sessions they observed.

By the end of the work experience, two of the students had decided to apply to the CNC once they come of age, with another student considering joining.

Ch Insp Marcus Robson, Tactical Unit Commander at Griffin Park Tactical Training Facility, said: Its been great to utilise Griffin Park to showcase the CNC and to inspire the next generation of police officers.

Our relationship with Lakes College goes from strength to strength and will soon see a group of art students helping us to mock up domestic and industrial settings in our tactical training area.

We will also continue to host work experience and work placements via the college.
