Consultation description

We areproposing to increase Ofsted fees for the regulation and inspection of childrens social care providers and some residential educational establishments by 10% for providers not paying the full cost rate.

We are also proposing to set a minimum inspection frequency for secure 16 to 19 academies. Secure 16 to 19 academies (Secure schools) area new type of custodial provision for children and young people remanded or sentenced to detention in relation to a criminal offence.

It is important that we hear from all those with an interest in childrens social care provision in order for us to understand the impact of our proposals on the sector and if there are any issues that they may create.
