The Department for Education (DfE) has launched a new international teaching qualification, international qualified teacher status (iQTS).

This document sets out:

  • DfEs policy for the iQTS inspection regime
  • how inspections will be carried out
  • the inspections pilot
  • how DfE will appoint iQTS inspectorates

This document will be useful for iQTS providers and organisations considering applying to join the inspection pilot.
