This is a defined call, with up to 8,000,000 of funding being made available. No upper or lower limit has been set for individual projects. All projects must include a compelling element of matched funding to be eligible under the programme. Further details on matched funding and other eligibility requirements are contained in the guidance document.

The call opens on Monday 11 September 2023 and will close at midday on Tuesday 31 October 2023. The UK Space Agency aims to notify all applicants of the results of their proposals by the w/c Monday 13 November 2023.

The call is being run in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and applicants who are invited to apply after submitting an Expression of Interest will also need to submit a UK Space Agency Cover Sheet and ESA Outline Proposal to the UK Space Agency and ESA by the closing date. This is to allow consideration of proposals by the UK Space Agency and ESA in parallel and reduce the time to award for successful applicants.

2. Deadline for submission of Expressions of Interest: 12:00 pm (GMT) on Tuesday 31 October 2023.
3. Notification of Expressions of Interest and invitations to Cover Sheet and Outline Proposal: w/c Monday 13 November 2023.
4. Deadline for submission of Cover Sheet and Outline Proposals: Monday 8 January 2024.
5. Notification of UK outcomes: w/c Monday 22 January 2024.
