Duty solicitor members lists 1 October 2022 to 2 January 2023

The members lists will generally only show rota schemes. Courts will only be listed separately where a choice had to be made from alternative options or if there are restrictions on eligibility due to postcode. All other courts are included on the normal rota schemes.

Organisations should check that all duty solicitors are listed correctly. Organisations may contact crm12@justice.gov.uk regarding any inaccuracies with the members lists. We are unable to accept any new requests for changes to the October 22 rotas, and we cannot accept requests from individual duty solicitors. We ask that queries are sent by email only to the above address, so that we can keep a record and respond accordingly to those who raise them. The deadline for us to receive feedback relating to the members lists is Friday 12 August 2022.

Organisations are reminded of their obligation to ensure that their contact details are accurate and kept up to date via the Duty Solicitor Contact Centre website in accordance with paragraph 9.22 of the 2022 Standard Crime Contract Specification.

We expect to publish the new rotas mid-September 2022.

Application information

Duty solicitor rotas: 1 April 2022 to 30 September 2022

The CRM12 application deadline for these rotas is 23:59 Monday 10 January 2022

Please send a CRM12 application by email no later than 23:59 on Monday 10 January 2022 to crm12@justice.gov.uk

We will not accept late applications.

Please go to CRM12: duty solicitor application when moving firm to download a CRM12 in excel format. Please send completed applications to the above email address in excel format.

We need to receive CRM12 applications from organisations who wish to make amendments to their membership for the April 2022 rotas. We do not need CRM12 applications if there are no changes to be made.

You will need to complete and send us a CRM 12 application for new duty solicitors or duty solicitors who will be engaged by your firm by the start date of the new rotas or where applicable - duty solicitors who have moved office/scheme within your firm by the start date of the new rotas. The CRM12 form can also include details of any duty solicitors who are to be removed from the membership for your firm. We can also be informed of removals by email.

Please note that this process relates to Duty Solicitor membership under the existing 2017 Standard Crime Contract and is not related in any way to the ongoing procurement exercise for the 2022 Standard Crime Contract. CRM12s will be invited separately for membership of duty rotas under the 2022 Standard Crime Contract for those Applicant organisations who submit timely acceptable and compliant verification information by the Verification Date set out in the Information for Applicants
