The Department for Transport commissioned the Transport Research Laboratory to explore the feasibility of producing statistics on drivers killed in reported road accidents in Great Britain with different drugs detected, based on coroners data.

This report summarises this initial work and the proposed next steps in developing it further.

We welcome feedback to inform further development of statistics in this area.
