The Boundary Commission for Northern Ireland is an advisory Non-Departmental Public Body constituted under the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 1986, as amended by the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act 2011. The Commission plays an important role in shaping parliamentary constituency boundaries in Northern Ireland.
The Commission normally meet 2-3 times a year; however, when a review is underway the post may require attendance at meetings every 4-6 weeks. Each meeting may require up to 1-2 days of a members time.
A per diem fee of 505.50 is payable. This is a public appointment for a term of up to 5 years.
