Today is all about celebrating the men and women responsible for a remarkable and diverse range of sustainability, conservation and environmental projects and initiatives delivered across the defence estate on behalf of the MOD each year. The diversity of these brilliant projects is dazzling.

DIO Chief Executive Graham Dalton said:

The Sanctuary Awards highlight a diverse range of work that takes place across the defence estate to preserve wildlife, protect the environment and promote sustainability. DIO organises these Sanctuary Awards and magazine on behalf of the MOD, and I am heartened to see so many worthy projects represented this year. Thank you to the teams and individuals who have gone the extra mile in delivering such interesting and challenging initiatives. The awards are a celebration of personal dedication, partnership and what can be achieved by working together.
