This Policy Framework is for all Prison and Probation staff in England and Wales with responsibility for the management of cases that meet the eligibility for inclusion on the ViSOR Dangerous Persons Database. It sets out the roles and responsibilities for all staff involved in the management of these Public Protection cases as well as advice and guidance on how staff can use the database for the secure exchange of risk related information between responsible authority agencies in line with the Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA).
