Duty Solicitor Rotas 1st April 2021 to 30th September 2021 - First publication
First publication rotas are only published on this website and on the Google Drive and will not be emailed out.
For further rota versions, providers will be made aware of changes and will then be directed to the Google Drive to see a new version of the rota.
Please find below the 1st April 2021 to 30th September 2021 Duty Solicitor Rotas. All rotas are subject to changes at any time during the rota period as further adjustments are likely to be required.
If you have any queries about the rotas please email these to email@example.com and allow us time to investigate the issues. Queries should be sent by email only. Please be patient as we are unlikely to be able to respond immediately.

Duty solicitor members lists 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021
The members lists will generally only show rota schemes. Courts will only be listed separately where a choice had to be made from alternative options or if there are restrictions on eligibility due to postcode. All other courts are included on the normal rota schemes.
Organisations should check that all duty solicitors are listed correctly. Organisations may contact firstname.lastname@example.org regarding any inaccuracies with the members lists. We are unable to accept any new requests for changes to the April 2021 rotas, and we cannot accept requests from individual duty solicitors. We ask that queries are sent by email only, so that we can keep a record of any issues and amend and respond accordingly to those who raise them. The deadline for us to receive feedback relating to the members lists is Thursday 21 January 2021.
Organisations are reminded of their obligation to ensure that their contact details are accurate and kept up to date via the Duty Solicitor Contact Centre website in accordance with paragraph 9.22 of the 2017 Standard Crime Contract Specification.
We expect to publish the new rotas in early March 2021
Please email email@example.com if a duty solicitor gives formal notice of leaving or leaves your employment.
Duty solicitor rotas: 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021
The CRM12 application deadline for these rotas is 23:59 Monday 11 January 2021
Please send a CRM12 application by email no later than 23:59 on Monday 11 January 2021 to firstname.lastname@example.org
We will not accept late applications.
Please go to CRM12: duty solicitor application when moving firm to download a CRM12 in excel format. Please send completed applications to the above email address in excel format.
We need to receive CRM12 applications from organisations who wish to make amendments to their membership for the April 2021 rotas. We do not need CRM12 applications if there are no changes to be made.
You will need to complete and send us a CRM 12 application for new duty solicitors or duty solicitors who will be engaged by your firm by the start date of the new rotas or where applicable - duty solicitors who have moved office/scheme within your firm by the start date of the new rotas. The CRM12 form can also include details of any duty solicitors who are to be removed from the membership for your firm. We can also be informed of removals by email.
On the CRM12 form please make sure that the correct date is supplied for when the duty solicitor joins the new office/schemes where indicated under the column heading Date duty solicitor joined or is to join this office/scheme/s. The DSCC will use this date to move a duty solicitor from the old to the new firm and/or old office to new office within the same firm. LAA and DSCC will not be held responsible if duty calls are missed or sent to the wrong place due to an incorrect date being entered on the form.
If this is a first CRM 12 Application, it must be supported by a Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme Certificate (CLAS) which has been issued by The Law Society.
Please email us at email@example.com before Monday 11 January 2021 if a duty solicitor gives notice of leaving or ceases to be actively engaged by your organisation, or if any of your duty solicitors are under investigation for, or have been charged with a criminal offence. Duty solicitors are not eligible to be on the new rotas if they are not actively engaged by your organisation on the start date of the new rotas.
We expect to publish new members lists (not rotas) on our website by Friday 15 January 2021 to allow firms to check that their Duty Solicitors are recorded correctly. We ask that feedback is provided by email only, so that we can keep a record of any issues and amend and respond accordingly to those who raise them. The deadline for us to receive feedback relating to the members lists will be Thursday 21 January 2021.
Second Court Duty Rota Period 11 January 2021 to 31 March 2021
There is no new CRM12 application necessary for the second court duty rota period. Membership on this second court duty rota period is a continuation of the scheme membership of the October 2020 rotas. We expect to publish the second court duty rotas by mid-December.
Duty Solicitor Candidates Awaiting CLAS Accreditation
Provisional CRM12 applications for individuals who have not been able to complete their Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme (CLAS) by the CRM12 deadline of 11 January 2021 will not be accepted for the April 2021 rotas. Acceptance of these provisional applications for the previous CRM12 application deadline was done on an exceptional basis and was strictly for the October 2020 duty rota period only.
