All organisations successful in tendering for an own client contract are encouraged to submit any outstanding verification information as soon as possible.

Reminders about the need to supply this information were sent out by the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) to successful organisations on 25 November 2015.

Verification deadline

Organisations must submit all necessary verification information to verify their own client contract by the deadline of 23.59pm on Tuesday 8 December if they:

  • do not hold the 2010 Standard Crime Contract and they wish to carry out own client work between 11 January and 31 March 2016 under an extension to our contingency measures (see GOV.UK crime tender page link below) or
  • wish to be included in contingency duty rotas to deliver duty work from 1 April 2016 in procurement areas where it is not possible to implement 2015 Duty Provider Contracts from this date

Verification information should be submitted to LAA via the eTendering message boards.

Further information about the verification process was published in a supporting FAQ document on 27 November 2015. This was placed on the GOV.UK crime tender page see below.

Submissions post 8 December

We would encourage all firms to submit their verification information as soon as possible.

Submissions later than 8 December 2015 are only possible if you do not wish to accept either

  • the contingency offer for the period of 11 January to 31 March 2016 or
  • be included on the contingency duty rotas from April 2016

If you submit your information after 8 December, please do not expect to hear from us immediately. But we will review your verification information and respond to you as soon as possible.
