Since our last update in November, we have received a steady flow of intelligence regarding concerns about training malpractice thank you. We take all concerns seriously and respond as soon as they are brought to our attention.

We are currently working with Ofqual and an awarding body to examine the practices of a particular training centre in response to concerns and information provided. The training centre in question has been suspended, we are unable to disclose further details while enquiries are ongoing.

Thanks to the efforts of awarding organisations, sometimes in response to concerns raised by individuals, 6 training providers have been suspended in the past week pending fuller investigation.

We are working with the qualification regulators and awarding organisations across the UK to ensure all allegations of training malpractice continue to be investigated effectively, and that arrangements for the awarding of security qualifications are reviewed so industry can have confidence in certificates awarded.

We recognise the value that good training providers bring. Good training providers deliver training that helps keep the public safe and can save lives. So, please help us and our partners to root out any training malpractice in the sector.
