Details

The Youth Justice Board (YJB) commissioned Traverse, an independent research organisation, to conduct a research study to examine what may be driving the disparity in rates of reoffending.

The research involved statistical analysis of reoffending data from England and Wales, interviews with children from England as well as focus groups with youth justice service practitioners.

The findings are published in two parts, a child and practitioners perspectives report and an analysis of reoffending data report.

This publication includes:

  • a child and practitioner perspectives report, including an accessible version and a quick read guide
  • an analysis of reoffending data, including an accessible version
  • a YJB analyst note
