Speaking at the launch of the new industry body Innovate Finance on Wednesday 6 August, the Chancellor said:
I am today asking one of our best scientists, the Governments Chief Scientific Adviser, Sir Mark Walport, to lead a review into the future of FinTech.
The review will look at the technologies, enablers and barriers that will shape the future of the FinTech sector up to 2025, and the policy implications for the government.
