This guidance tells HM Passport Office staff what we mean by gender recognition.

It also tells them:

how a customer can ask for a change to the gender on their passport
what evidence the customer must send
how to examine an application
how to deal with applications to change a childs gender
about the Gender Recognition Act
what the gender recognition panel is and how to contact them
