Details

If youve been unable to obtain a manufacturers certificate of newness for a vehicle, you may be able to use a V267 declaration of newness. This can only be filled in by the person or organisation responsible for the vehicle.

A vehicle can only be considered new if it:

  • has not been permanently registered in any other country
  • has not been sold for retail (this is where a vehicle is sold between non motor traders)
  • has reasonable delivery mileage
  • is a current model or a model that has stopped being produced in the last 2 years
