Details

The childcare expansion capital grant funding is provided to local authorities to support the provision of new places to support the expansion of:

  • 30-hours entitlement places for children aged 9-months to 3-year-olds
  • wraparound provision for primary school aged children

100m has been allocated in total. The allocations spreadsheet shows how much funding has been allocated to each local authority.

The explanatory note shows how we calculated the funding for each local authority.

The guidance document explains what local authorities can spend the funding on and issues they should consider to achieve best outcomes.

The grant determination document sets out the conditions of the grant payments.

Programme funding has also been provided through the local authority delivery support funding for early years entitlements and the national wraparound programme grant funding.
