You should use this template if your project is following a simple change or supported change appraisal type.

You can download templates for sustain standard of service and fulfil legal obligation appraisal types on the supporting flood and coast projects SharePoint site.

These templates are held outside GOV.UK. Email admin_FCERMprojectsupport@environment-agency.gov.uk if you need access to them.

You can use the appraisal type selector to check which template you should use.

  1. Updated to replace the current template with the new simple or supported change template type.

  2. The Environment Agency Assurance and Technical Approval section updated to include confirmation that a record of the assurance is appended to the business case.

  3. Removed the business case template and short form business case template. Replaced with one business case template that must be used regardless of project value.

  4. Change to formatting of approval history sheet to conform with EA Financial Scheme of Delegation.

  5. Corrected error in the FSoD cover sheet of the short form business case template.

  6. Updated Short form business case.

  7. The business case templates for project appraisal reports have been updated. This is the new format for providing business cases in support of a flood risk capital grant claim.
