Like most websites the ACP uses cookies. In order to deliver a responsive service and to improve thesite, we remember and store information about how you use it. This is done using simple text filescalled cookies which sit on your computer.

AllowNonEssentialCookies only created when the user confirms whether they allow or reject the use of non-essential cookies. 1 year expiry (or until cookies are manually deleted in browser).

ASP.NET_SessionId - Enables ACP to load the users session data. Expires when the browser session ends.

.ASPXAUTH - Authentication cookie. Tells ACP who the user is. Expires when the browser session ends or ifKeep me logged in option selected 14 days from initial login.

serverTime - Used in conjunction with sessionExpiry to control the session log out pop up window.Expires when the browser session ends.

Measuring website usage (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics software to collect information about how you use this website. We do thisto help make sure the website is meeting the needs of its users and to help us make improvements.Google Analytics stores information about:* the pages you visit on the site;* how long you spend on each page;* how you got to the site;* what you click on while youre visiting the site.

We dont collect or store your personal information (for example your name or address) so thisinformation cant be used to identify who you are.Google Analytics sets the following cookies:

Universal Analytics

_ga - This helps us count how many people visit GOV.UK by tracking if youve visitedbefore. Expires 2 years_gid - This helps us count how many people visit GOV.UK by tracking if youve visitedbefore. Expires 24 hours_gat - Used to manage the rate at which page view requests are made. Expires 10 minutes

Google Analytics

_utma - Like _ga, this lets us know if youve visited before, so we can count how many of ourvisitors are new to GOV.UK or to a certain page. Expires 2 years

_utmb - This works with _utmc to calculate the average length of time you spend on GOV.UK. Expires 30 minutes

_utmc - This works with _utmb to calculate when you close your browser. When you close your browser

_utmz - This tells us how you reached GOV.UK (for example from another website or a searchengine). Expires 6 months

You can opt out of Google Analytics cookies across all the websites you visit.

Cloudflare

We use a service called Cloudflare to provide protection against Distributed Denial of Serviceattacks.

_ cfduid - Used to identify and block malicious visitors to Cloudflare protected sites. Expires 1 year
