This is the governments response to the final report from the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse which was published on 20 October 2022.

The Inquiry was established by the then Home Secretary in 2015 to look at the extent to which state and non-state institutions in England and Wales have discharged their duty to protect children from sexual abuse.

The government has launched a call for evidence on mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse.

We are aware that this publication may have accessibility issues. We are reviewing it so that we can fix them.
