Department For Transport
At the Department for Transports haulier advice sites, drivers and crew of HGVs, LGVs, coaches and vans can:
- take a free coronavirus (COVID-19) test
- find out about the rules and documents needed to move goods between the?UK?and?EU by getting a border readiness check
- get help using the Check an HGV / Apply for a Kent Access Permit (KAP) service
Hauliers need proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter some countries. Drivers and crew using Dover and Eurotunnel will get fast-tracked past queues if they get tested and have a valid Kent Access Permit before arriving in Kent.
Hauliers who enter England from abroad need to take tests if they are in England for longer than 2 days.
