Details
This revised direction required West Sussex County Council to continue taking steps to improve its childrens social care services.
This followed:
- an 8 May 2019 Ofsted report, which judged that the councils childrens social care services were inadequate
- reports into childrens services in West Sussex by John Coughlan CBE
This direction was lifted following an Ofsted report published on 11 May 2023.
This direction replaced the revised statutory direction issued to West Sussex County Council in December 2020.
