This document details what personal data DfE processes about the workforce in local authorities, including social work professionals that have responsibility for social work-related services.

  1. Added the section 'Using your data to administer DfE's risk protection agreement'.

  2. Updated data processors section for using your data to support learner assessments. We have also updated the data sharing section to provide details of when we share your special category data.

  3. Added sections 9.2 'Using your data when you make a complaint about education providers, childrens social care or DfE' and 9.3 'Using your data when you make a referral of serious teacher misconduct to the TRA'.

  4. Added sections for using data: when a child is looked after by local authorities, when a child is in need, for learner assessments, when we receive a Serious Incident Notification and when you use DfE Sign-In. We have also updated the section 'Using your data when you contact us'.
