This direction was revoked on 26 May 2023 as confirmed in the letter from Andrew Warren, DfE Regional Director for the West Midlands.
Statutory direction placed on Birmingham City Council in relation to its childrens services from July 2019.
It withdraws the Childrens Services Commissioner and requires Birmingham City Council to engage with Birmingham Childrens Trust, and the authoritys partners, to facilitate continued improvement.
This direction replaced the earlier statutory direction issued to the council in March 2018.
