Ministry Of Justice

June 1
08:16 2023

This consultation is open to all. We would be particularly interested to hear from organisations representing separating families, family justice professionals, mediation service providers, other dispute resolution service providers and individuals who have lived experience of the family courts or mediation.

Family Procedure Rule Committee consultation

Following the publication of the government consultation, the Family Procedure Rule Committee has published a consultation paper that seeks views on the principle of proposed amendments to the existing Family Procedure Rules and supporting Practice Directions, to encourage early resolution of private law arrangements.

The consultation closes on 25 May 2023 and can be viewed alongside further information on the Family Procedure Rules: Early resolution of private family law arrangements.
