TheParticipation Surveyhas run since October 2021 and is the key evidence source on engagement for DCMS. It is a continuous push-to-web household survey of adults aged 16 and over in England.

The Participation Survey provides reliable estimates of physical and digital engagement with the arts, heritage, museums & galleries, and libraries, as well as engagement with tourism, major events, digital sectors, and live sports.

The pre-release access list above contains the ministers and officials who have received privileged early access to this release of Participation Survey data. In line with best-practice, the list has been kept to a minimum and those given access for briefing purposes had a maximum of 24 hours. This release is published in accordance with theCode of Practice for Statistics (2018), as produced by the UK Statistics Authority. The Authority has the overall objective of promoting and safeguarding the production and publication of official statistics that serve the public good.
