Open consultation: Payment Services Regulations Review and Call for Evidence

This review meets the governments statutory requirement to review the Payments Services Regulations 2017.

The government is launching alongside this review a Call for Evidence on how UK payments regulation should evolve to continue to meet the governments aims and address the specific challenges highlighted in the review.

The Call for Evidence will close at 11:59pm on Friday 7 April 2023, and welcomes representations from all interested stakeholders. Any questions relating to the Call for Evidence and responses should be sent to PaymentServicesCfE@hmtreasury.gov.uk.

The government is also publishing a Post Implementation Review of the Payment Card Interchange Fee Regulations 2015, which can be found below.
