Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspect local areas together to see how effectively they fulfil their responsibilities for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Ofsted and CQC carry out inspections in line with the Local area special educational needs and disabilities inspection framework and Local area special educational needs and disabilities inspection handbook for inspectors.
Ofsted and the CQC are visiting the London Borough of Bromley, from 16 to 20 September 2019.
Ofsted and the CQC are revisiting Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council, from Monday 23 September to Thursday 26 September 2019.
An open meeting, which will focus on areas identified in the Written Statement of Action, will take place on Monday 23 September 2019. Parents and carers can contact their local Parent Carer Forum to request details of how to be part of the discussions between parents and carers and the Ofsted/CQC re-visit team.
