Pay for your LPA by card

The quickest way to pay for your lasting power of attorney (LPA) is using a credit or debit card. Follow the steps below and the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) will be able to process your application more easily.

On the LPA form (LP1F or LP1H) go to Section 14: Application fee. Tick Card and enter your phone number, preferably a mobile number.

Dont put your card or account details on the form.

The payment site and reference number

If you give us a mobile number, OPG will text you a link to a secure site for online payment. You can then use your credit or debit card to pay for your LPA. The text will also contact a unique reference number for you for this.

If you give us a landline number, we will send you a letter with a link to the site, and the unique reference number.

If you make your LPA online, you can pay for it as part of that process.
