There are a variety of Supply Chain opportunities, detailed below, that can be advertised at any stage of procurement to make it easier for businesses to engage with the defence supply chain.

Why advertise your Supply Chain Opportunities?

  • Increases the visibility of your opportunity or wider procurement activities
  • Enables you to have a more diverse supply base
  • Increases the opportunity for innovation within your supply chain
  • Helps support MODs commitment to make it easier for small businesses to enter the defence supply chain*- Supports the commitments made in the SME Action Plan and Social Value Model (MAC 2.1/3.1)

Where is the opportunity advertised?

  • Any of the supply chain notices below will be advertised on the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP). The one stop-shop for defence procurement.
  • The notices will also be visible on the Governments Contracts Finder page and will direct interested parties to contact the advertising supplier directly.

Step by step guide:

Identify what you want to advertise on the DSP.

  1. Select the appropriate option from the list below. A Microsoft Word template will appear.

  2. Fill out and send to DefComrclSSM-Suppliers@mod.gov.uk. (Ensure all mandatory fields are filled)

  3. The Doing Business with Defence team will check the details and advise of any further information required.

  4. The completed request will be forwarded onto the DSP team to be published. You will be advised when the opportunity has gone live.
