Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority
The Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs has designated the attacks in Israel starting from, but not limited to, 7 October 2023 as acts of terrorism. This means applications can be made to theCriminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA)under theVictims of Overseas Terrorism Compensation Scheme 2012 (VOTCS)by those victims injured, or the families of those killed, in the attacks. You do not need a paid representative, such as a solicitor or claims management company, to apply for compensation.
