Total landings by UK vessels decreased in October 2022 compared to 2021, down 11 per cent. The value of landings in October 2022 (107.6 million) also decreased compared to 2021 down by 15 per cent.
Pelagic species comprised the majority of quantity landed in October 2022. This was driven by increased landings of Mackerel (by large Scottish vessels) which is typically targeted in the winter months.
