Details

The National Citizen Service Trust (NCS) focuses on 16 to 17-year-olds on the cusp of adulthood. They have both the maturity and open mindedness to reflect on their lives and the world around them whilst being open to change, new ideas and people.

The Trust commissions a year-round portfolio of programmes to support young people across England, including: residentials, community interventions, employment programmes and digital opportunities.

NCS is the only recognised and government-funded programme offering key interventions at this critical time in young peoples lives, helping to develop the citizens of the future.

The Trust is incorporated by Royal Charter pursuant to the National Citizen Service Act (2017) and is governed by a diverse board.

NCS programmes are almost entirely funded by the government, through theDepartment for Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS),though the responsibility for commissioning and overseeing the delivery of the NCS programme belongs to the NCS Trust.

It is a legal obligation of the Trust to publish an annual report in line with a series of regulations including the governments Financial Reporting Manual.
