They are the latest to graduate from Sellafield Ltds world-leading apprentice scheme.
The new recruits have graduated in a broad range of professions, reflecting the diverse skills required to complete the sites 100-year mission.
And the changing nature of that mission, moving away from round-the-clock nuclear operations to clean-up work, means their careers will be vastly different to the generations who have come before.
Copeland MP Jamie Reed and Sellafield Ltd chairman Tony Fountain helped them celebrate at an event in Whitehaven last week.
Mr Fountain said:
Sellafield will be changing like never before over the coming decades. These young people will be leading that transformation - helping to ensure that the business is sustainable, fit-for-purpose and ready to deliver in a changing world.
Id like to congratulate all of our apprentices for their hard work and dedication so far and wish them every success in the future.
Mr Reed said:
Sellafield Ltds training programme is exemplary, matching any organisation in the country.
These graduates will now have the opportunity to develop their talents and play a crucial role in tackling the challenges at one of the largest and complex decommissioning sites in the world.
The ceremony, at Whitehaven Golf Club, also saw a number of apprentices receive awards for their work during their courses.
Jason Savage, who works in Sellafield Ltds social impact team, scooped the WF Senate Cup, recognising his contribution to the community during his apprenticeship.
Sophie Mason, Rebecca Frazer and Jonathan Patton won first, second and third respectively in the Sellafield Workbook Award.
Jason said:
I had some amazing opportunities during my time as an apprentice and memories that will last a lifetime. I spent a week on a tall ship, a day shadowing an MP, Ive been interviewed on the radio and Ive represented Sellafield Ltd at many public events.
On top of that I have a fantastic grounding in the skills needed to succeed in my profession and got a job at the end of it.
